TRAINING DIRECTOR-Midway
CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION
Midway International Airport-Vehicle Services
Number of Positions: 1

Starting Salary: $80,628.00/year

Due to the lateral equivalence of the Foreman and equipment training titles, the Training Director plays a critical role in ensuring that training mandates are accomplished. Thus, meeting the need to equip all MTD's/PMTD's with the required training to accomplish their task safely and effectively. The Training Director will serve as the head of the training division, will provide structure and leadership to the trainers. They will be tasked with the development of the appropriate curriculum, including but not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Lead MTD training and certification
· Airfield Training
· Radio Phraseology
· Runway Incursion Prevention
· New and Existing equipment training
· Snow Procedures
· Construction Procedures
· On the job training and tracking.
The Training Director will be charged with assigning and directing the training of all MTD's/PMTD's and Foremen. The incumbent will give the training section the authority required to carry out the section's mission without conflict.
Additional duties may be required for this position
Location: Midway International Airport, 6201 South Laramie, Chicago, IL 60638
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: Primarily Day Shift (subject to operational needs)

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree supplemented by three years of progressively responsible experience in the design and implementation of employee training programs, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a written exercise and/or a skills assessment test as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected.
