Role Description: The Strategic University Partnership Manager is responsible for identifying, establishing, and overseeing strategic university initiatives that drive company growth. Responsibilities include identifying potential strategic partners, negotiating agreements, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful partnerships. The Strategic University Partnership Manager also monitors the effectiveness of university partnerships and recommends adjustments to maximize outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to grow current university partnerships, develop strategic plans, and implement plans for measurable growth.

  • Research and identify potential university partners aligned with business objectives, establish relationships, and manage the prospecting process.

  • Lead RFP proposals, contracting, and all documentation necessary for partnerships.

  • Develop strategies, project plans, define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines for each initiative. Oversee project execution and results.

  • Ensure growth metrics for new and existing university partnerships are met, including signing and renewing partnerships, achieving revenue goals, and expanding competitive advantage.

  • Conduct market research, SWOT analysis, and gather feedback for strategic insights.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities, build strategic plans, and execute implementation plans.

  • Engage with leadership and teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Prepare regular reports for leadership on progress and outcomes.

  • Travel is a key component of this position and candidates should prepare to spend 30-40% of their time traveling to universities and conferences in the regions you support.

Basic Qualifications (For internal applicants):

  • Two years of experience within sales or account management at The CoStar Group or a current employee within the Off Campus Partners brand.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Communications or Marketing from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.

Basic Qualifications (For external applicants):

  • Five years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or customer support roles within a corporate environment

  • Two years of experience in managing a high-profile portfolio of clients with an emphasis on revenue growth within a business-to-business environment

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to build and implement plans aligned company goals.

  • Strong strategic, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong technical and presentation skills.

  • Self-starter who can work within a team environment and independently, while being highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Communications or Marketing from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience in higher education and/or the student housing industry.

  • RFP/proposal experience

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Proficiency in project management

  • Experience in creating custom presentations and request for proposals (RFP’s) with a proven track record of success.

  • Master’s Degree
