Epstein is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team.The Staff Accountant ensures the accurate and timely preparation of project accounting, reporting, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and subcontractor payments. This position is required to partner with all levels/disciplines within the organization so excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are a must.The selected individual must work well with others and be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.

General Responsibilities

* Researches, verifies, and prepares accounts payables, accounts receivables, subcontractor payments and invoices.

* Establishes and maintains accurate accounting files.

* Enters data into mainframe accounting system including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.

* Identifies and ensures proper cost coding.

* Prepares and releases cash disbursements.

* Coordinates monthly billing with project managers and prepares monthly invoices.

* Tracks contract values, costs, budgets, waivers and invoices.

* Maintains monthly project reporting requirements.

* Assists in audits and reconciliations as requested.

* Interacts with managers, clients and vendors to resolve paperwork and payment issues.

* Assists with general accounting duties.
