The Senior Associate, Asset Data Analytics & Reporting is part of the Asset Management department and works closely with Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage Operations and Engineering in process, data and performance management, and plays a key role in the optimization of RWE’s asset performance.
Role Responsibilities:
Execute and prepare mass changes in the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) area
Become an expert in the data collected through our SAP PM module
Provide master data support to cross-functional business process owners and other team members
Participate in Test Cycles and User Acceptance Testing sessions for process enhancements to ensure data accuracy
Support the continual development of process improvements and performance analysis to help the Operations organization make better data-driven decisions
Work closely with global teams to align standards and structures around data collection, reporting, and processes
Support colleagues from Engineering and Operations with the maintenance and upkeep of O&M master data such as maintenance plans, task lists, functional locations, equipment records
Design, document, deploy, and maintain analytical reports utilizing data manipulation techniques to track operational KPIs
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and performance trends for executive reviews
Explore opportunities to drive improvements in the field of daily operations execution
Identify and implement process automations for automatic data processing, to ease various manual and redundant steps
Drive the implementation of new enhancements and upgrades of the ERP system in close collaboration with IT experts
Ensure the highest level of Health Safety Environment practices in all activities
All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements and Experiences:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences, Engineering, or similar (preferred)
Master’s degree a plus
Minimum 5 years work experience required
Minimum 3 years SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) or Material Management (MM) transactional experience
Knowledge of SAP PM process execution and master data maintenance
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Tableau, or other business intelligence applications
Experience working with databases (SQL, Azure, SAP, AirTable, etc.)
Knowledge in the field of data processing with python, R, etc. are welcome
Experience in renewable asset operations is a plus
Experience in SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus
Prefer experience in wind, solar, or other similar utility or industrial setting
Prefer experience in reporting applications such as Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar
Skilled in data management and analysis
Make effective use of available resources to achieve Company and department goals and objectives
Ability to multi-task and prioritize critical projects and processes
High degree of communication and an autonomous working practice
Safety – Promote safety for all at all times
Initiative – Must be self-motivating and able to work with minimum supervision and the ability to think critically and logically to question processes and procedures where applicable with the goal to improve these
Technical/Functional Knowledge – Practical experience preferred over IT consultant experience (someone that understands how the business functions in relation to the SAP data and less about the IT landscape)
Transactional experience with SAP and a fast-learning track
Problem Solving – Ability to troubleshoot, understand, execute, and communicate root causes and implement solutions to resolve issues
Flexibility – Willing and available to travel, must be able to make the necessary adjustments to the plans to respond to changing conditions, i.e. process changes or project schedules
Must have ability to identify and distinguish colors
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Strong communication and ability to meet deadlines
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $91,000 - $135,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
