Insight Global Server Administrator in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Server Administrator to provide 1st Level Support, escalation, and resolution for Incidents with minimal supervision and a high degree of decision making. This person would be assisting the Operations Manager in ensuring adequate staff coverage, and other managerial duties in his/her absence. Assist in ensuring critical processing requirements are met by escalating and tracking incidents in a consistent and timely manner to ensure that quality standards are met.

Skills and Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related discipline

-3+ years' experience production systems operations

-work in a multi-task in an environment

-Knowledge of ITIL principles (Information Technology Infrastructure Library, IT best practices)

-UC4 Scheduler/Control M

  • IBM JCL (Job Control Language, used on IBM mainframe operating systems)

-technical monitoring and metrics

-application life cycle and deployment (framework for software development)

-Knowledge of MQ (stop / start)

-Problem/Incident management applications and tools experience (Jira, ServiceNow)

-Excellent attention to detail Industry certifications in the areas of ITIL

-Certified in Cloud Practitioner null
