Job Description:
The Commercial Product & Platform vision develops global technology products and platforms that delight our customers and enable our crews to operate our restaurants reliably and effectively.
Senior Manager, Tech Lead reports to the Director of Software Engineering (Loyalty & Partnerships). You’ll lead a team of developers focused on extending McDonald’s MyRewards program. This consists of the integration of 3rd party and internal gaming platforms into McDonald’s digital commerce channels (Mobile app, Web, KIOSK) supporting an engaging and seamless end-to-end user experience!

This team is integral to enabling McDonald’s marketers to deliver a more personalized and engaging experience on a global scale. To achieve these outcomes, you’ll collaborate with multiple McDonald’s teams, including Product, Engineering, Experience Design, Strategic Insights, Marketing, and Legal.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end development of capabilities that seamlessly integrate third-party reward redemptions into the digital ecosystem. As a Tech leader, you will own the tech vision, solutioning, development and integration.
Develop and launch the capabilities that allow loyalty custom to redeem points, earn points, and/or access benefits with third-party partners
Design scalable, flexible technical solutions that can be embraced globally while allowing for local market configuration.
Collaborate with Engineering, Data, and Architecture teams to build an integration framework that makes it easy for partners to onboard.
Attend all squad level ceremonies and act as the leader of the Software Development Engineers (SDE’s) of the respective squad. Manage the output (quality and efficiency) of external vendor squads to ensure they are delivering to the standards required by McD
Ensure that delivered solutions are in line with architectural specifications, quality standards, and security standards.
Partner with Experience Design and other Product teams to create easy-to-use, customer-facing loyalty partnership experiences within the broader MyMcDonald's Rewards program.
Solution Design: Collaborate with partners to grasp the business goals, user experience, and design prerequisites, and create technical solution designs that fulfill these requirements. Ensure the code development is in line with the architectural, quality and security standards.
Development Squad Leadership: Manage squad capacity and ensure the correct mixture of skills and technical expertise required to deliver business objectives. Ensure engineers understand the business context and requirements of the solutions and products.
Continuous Engineering Improvement: Evolve and evangelize engineering best practices. Ensure observability of systems and integrations within your domain to improve reliability and reduction of technical debt. Ensure security-based design to reduce customer and brand risk. Ensure high levels of testing coverage and end to end testing processes to derisk deployments. Regularly review performance to advise individual and cross-product optimization.

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260 - $190,310per year

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in software engineering, solution architecture, technical project management, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Software Delivery, Engineering or Architecture
Experience leading a team of Tech Leads / Product Engineers to deliver digital products with measurable results
Experience working in a global organization, preferably franchised and in the consumer/retail sector
Expert in pair programming, continuous integration, test-driven development & incremental design
Experience in Agile Development methodologies, with practical application across the Product Development Lifecycle
Bring experience in one or more of the following: Large scale implementation of an ecommerce, Loyalty & Rewards, and Offers ecosystem. Experience in marketer authoring tools enabling teams to efficiently create and publish offers, deals, and large-scale promotions across a multi-channel ecommerce ecosystem. Bridging revenue growth management strategies and systems into a global ecommerce implementation.
Are skilled at stakeholder management and influencing, in a matrixed and global organization
