We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and supporting the implementation of industry-leading technical operations resource planning standard methodology strategies and processes for the Hubs
Works closely with stations to optimize staffing resources across the Hubs, while adhering to labor contract constraints and while enabling Hubs to meet or exceed service and cost targets
Optimizes staffing resources across Hubs for each flight schedule to support the achievement of Division
Works with stations to resolve final staffing targets for each flight schedule based on schedule structure, process standards, labor contract constraints, volumes, and risk factors
Proactively finds opportunities to improve operational and cost performance
Analyzes labor contract and potential service standard change and flight schedule change scenarios
Lead team of analysts responsible for:
Modeling and planning monthly and annual Line Maintenance Technicians (headcount and hours) based on future flight schedules, maintenance demand and departure volumes, workload drivers and contractual obligations
Planning and implementing shift and vacation bids for Hubs

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Research or Industrial Engineering or two years experience in airport resource planning
1+ years managing a team
5+ years of progressively responsible professional experience
7+ years of related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to travel 5-7 days per month
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Master's degree
MBA
Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma Equivalent
Two years experience in resource planning
General understanding of current employee resource planning policies and contractual requirements
Coding experience and/or working experience in GroundStar (INFORM)
