Key Responsibilities:
The People Impact Senior Manager plays a key role in driving, promoting and implementing United’s enterprise Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy; which supports United employees in delivering an inclusive and welcoming experience to our 140 million customers each year. They will assist in the design and implementation of company-wide and business-unit level DEI strategies and programs, and be responsible for using data to inform program design, measurement and reporting on DEI progress. They will collaborate closely with Business Leaders, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Global Learning.
Partner with key stakeholders to develop and drive execution of comprehensive DEI strategic action plans focused on enhancing diverse representation in key business units and in support of enterprise objectives focused on underrepresented groups
Responsible for researching, benchmarking using data and incorporating leading methodologies Identify KPIs and develop an approach to assess progress, achievement and accountability and partner with HR Partner team to measure the impact and effectiveness of DEI initiatives and impact
Support enterprise DEI strategy by building positive relationships and providing data-informed consultation with business units, executive leadership, HR Business Partners, diversity councils, Business Resource Groups (BRGs), and Global Community Engagement

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
7+ years of related work experience
Minimum of 3 years of leadership in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Experience in developing diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies using data and programs that connect to business outcomes
Proven track record of critical thinking; synthesizing data to address complex problems via achievable and measurable solutions
Proven attention to detail and strong prioritization skills
Outstanding communicator in both written and verbal interactions
Strong interpersonal skills and courageous in giving tough yet supportive feedback when needed to leaders at all levels
Demonstrated cross-cultural competencies, including strong emotional intelligence and the ability to engage and build relationships
Ability to balance big picture, strategic thinking with tactical implementation
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
