JPMorgan Chase Senior Lead Architect - Corporate Technology in Chicago, Illinois

As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology , you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products supporting the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) which includes real estate, security, supplier services and other corporate-sector domains. You will drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

Job responsibilities

  • Represents a product family for technical and solution governance as well as sits on the product cabinet advising on product direction

  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business, business products and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors

  • Produces business and technical architecture artifacts that aid business in decision making as well as satisfy audit requirements, including but not limited to product & business solution options, product evaluations, design decision logs, modernization assessment frameworks, blueprint & pattern design, logical and deployment architecture diagrams

  • Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks

  • Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes;

  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus

  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others

  • Provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight

  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture

  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in three or more technical disciplines as noted below

  • Experience on Cloud Native Solutions and related concepts including containerization, public cloud services, or on-premises cloud native technology (Cloud Foundary, OpenShift or equivalent)

  • Experience on integration service technology, including event streaming like Kafka, messaging platforms like IBM MQ and API management like Apigee

  • Experience in microservices design patterns and implementations using REST APIs; database related technologies, both relational and NoSQL databases

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Prior experience in Fintech industry
