Job Description Summary

As the Training Strategy and Technology Leader within Global Services at GE HealthCare, you will lead a team of experts that drive next generation training technologies for our Services franchise. You will own the strategy and execution of the latest in Generative AI technologies, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) solutions to medical equipment Install, Service and Training and drive the development of Virtual Hands-On (VHO) simulations and Virtual Machine (VM) deployment.

Working with a cross functional leadership team of experts to help solve business problems, you’ll design and execute the strategy to develop highly scalable solutions that can bring convergence among product Design for Service, Documentation and Training and make our field service teams more effective in performing equipment service, safely and effectively.

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Inspire GE HealthCare (GEHC) teams around the world to deploy and develop training following new strategies and incorporating new technologies.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a global team of personnel that creates the training strategy, standards, and methods using the latest technologies and industry best practices. Monitor team performance and establish improvement plans, where needed.

  • Generate ideas for leveraging AI to improve global service teams’ performance. Work cross-functionally to lead Generative AI designs to deliver standard documentation and training templates directly from engineering design information.

  • Guide the development of modern adult learning strategies across global GE HealthCare (GEHC) businesses for technical service and clinical applications. Enable faster, consistent delivery of new training and documentation in multi-media forms including text, pictures, video, Virtual Machines (VM) and Augmented Reality (AR).

  • Operate the GEHC global medical device Virtual Machine (VM) deployment process for internal and external users around the world and across GEHC modalities. Deliver high quality VM support and prepare for full commercialization working with marketing and sales.

  • Expand the development and management of Virtual Hands-On (VHO) simulations for technical service, clinical applications, and commercial training.

  • Expand AR experiences to enable faster and higher quality field service. Work closely with the Global Service Chief Engineering Office to publish engineering standards and measure adoption by multiple engineering teams.

  • Capture student and stakeholder feedback and take corrective actions, as needed.

  • Monitor, measure and provide reports about productivity improvements associated with implemented strategies and new technology.

  • Work closely with program managers and process leaders providing advice and guidance across the regions.

  • Use high level judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations, technology, or engineering. Demonstrate ability to assess the quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and provide recommendations. Use multiple internal and external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • Lead functional teams and projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicate difficult concepts, influence others’ opinion and guide others to consider a different point of view.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven record of accomplishment of leading successful innovation programs.

  • Bachelor’s (preferred Masters) degree in engineering, computer science or related fields.

  • At least 15 years of leadership in a technology business with global influence.

  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others at global locations to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate across various levels in the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes.

PREFERENCES

  • Demonstrated knowledge about applied Generative AI.

  • Knowledge of adult learning training concepts and methods.

  • Experience with Technical / Engineering learning environment.

  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint.

  • Change oriented –champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly.

  • Experience with multiple modalities at a medical device manufacturer.

  • Experience with Augmented Reality and/or medical device console Virtual Machines.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce and deliver professional, inspiring technical presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to “see around the corner” for future technology trends.
