Overview

The role exists to provide analysis and drive insights to action for our SVP, VPs and Business Development Directors/Managers. This role will be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, tracking results within sales, market share and execution, and performing evaluation of program results. Additionally, this role will assist in evaluating performance against division-specific KPIs, and providing clear visibility to risks and opportunities to ensure that the division delivers our performance goals. This role will also assist with process standardization, analysis, and identifying best practices for sales analytics and reporting.

Top Responsibilities of Role

  • Market Share Planning

  • Collaborate with Growth Insights team to produce share forecasting file and manage forecasting process end-to-end for Open States

  • Work with markets to identify share opportunities and insights as needed, utilizing Nielsen/IRI data

  • Own share recaps/updates for Total Open States in planning and BPM calls

  • Performance Analytics

  • Strategize, develop, analyze and communicate overall sales, market share and execution (EDGE) performance to key stakeholders

  • Work with markets to identify sales or execution opportunities and insights as needed, using VIP/VA, GPS and Trax Canvas

  • Own execution (EDGE) universe management process and consolidation/recap of goal planning templates

  • Standardization

  • Standardize and streamline business practices, tools, resources, and communications within Performance Management Team

  • Work with Advanced Analytics team to develop automated reporting needs for the division

  • Act as the systems/reporting Champion for division, training the markets on all available tools and resources to a proficient level of understanding

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years commercial analytics required, preferably in Alcoholic Beverages, Consumer Packaged Goods or Beverage Category.

  • Proven selling experience, including thorough understanding of retail and distributor dynamics.

  • Analysis of market and competitive data and application of insights to drive sales.

  • Curious, self-starting problem solver.

  • Strong data analytics skills required, including Microsoft PowerBI and data querying

  • Great communication skills – ability to articulate point of view across levels and functions.

  • Comfortable with constructive challenge and build process with senior leadership.

  • Resourceful and proactive – can take the initiative to be the Division lead when possible.

  • High standards of accuracy.
