Job Description:
Are you skilled in precision manufacturing and adept at operating machinery to produce high-quality components? Join our team at a leading steel forging client in Bedford Park, IL, as a Rotor Arm Operator. We are seeking an experienced individual with manufacturing expertise, proficiency in blueprint reading, and hands-on experience with PolyWorks and PCDMis software to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Romer Arm Operation: Operate specialized machinery, including rotor arm equipment, to forge steel components according to specified requirements and tolerances.
Manufacturing Expertise: Utilize your knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes to ensure efficient operation of machinery and adherence to production schedules.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand component specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
PolyWorks Experience: Utilize PolyWorks software to perform dimensional analysis, measurement, and inspection of forged components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
PCDMis Experience: Operate PCDMis software to conduct coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspections and verify the accuracy and precision of forged components.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to perform in-process inspections, identify non-conformities, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality.
Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including supervisors, engineers, and fellow operators, to optimize production processes, troubleshoot issues, and achieve production goals.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a machine operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel forging.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Experience with PolyWorks software for dimensional analysis and measurement.
Familiarity with PCDMis software for CMM inspections preferred.
Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour
