This position will fine tune large-language models to act as virtual teaching assistants or to advise students for Illinois Tech courses. This position will experiment through different models, both throughAPIand open-source LLMs. The position will work with professors and students to develop models for specific courses with the plan to create a chatbot that can accurately answer the vast majority of student questions and be available at any time, with safeguards to prevent misuse.
