Quality Technician: Responsible for the implementation of quality standards and testing procedures for at a metal forming company. Perform QC testing, record keeping, and inspections. Capable of reading and understanding metal fabrication drawings. Must be able to measure parts, bent shapes, and overall metal framing dimensions accurately. Responsible for fabricated materials conforming to drawings, shop standards, specifications, and applicable codes. Collaborate with fabrication teams helping with interpretation of codes, drawings, and specifications. Regularly report product quality information and feedback to management team and fabrication team for company quality improvement. Perform dimensional and visual inspection of shop fabrication. Record and maintain in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production control. Inform Fabrication foremen of defects and help identify workable solutions. Understanding of machine operations in metal work facility: tool, die, metal stamping. Participate with the team to improve processes to increase productivity and competitiveness. Work with measuring equipment and instruments. Strong problem-solving ability in resolving complex problems arising during the fabrication process. Includes investigation and recommendations for productivity enhancements. 1 year of experience as quality technician or machine operator.
