Kelly Services Payroll Manager / Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Manager / Project Manager to join our team on a 6-week contract. This position is 100% onsite at our location in W. Washington, Chicago, IL 60602. As a Payroll Project Manager / Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing payroll questions and providing support to election judges during the upcoming election period. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our payroll system and ensure a smooth payment process for our temporary election workers.
This position will oversee a team of 10 Payroll Call Center Employees supporting the upcoming election.
Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Temporary 6-week contract
- Location: W. Washington, Chicago, IL 60602 100% onsite
- Pay Rate: $40.58/hr.
- Shift: 9a – 5p, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break
Roles and Responsibilities:
Obtain updates from ADP on employees who have not elected paycard or direct deposit options
Look up information on assignment locations and provide assistance to election workers
Communicate with judges who have not elected the payroll option and guide them through the process
Work with approximately 5,000 employees to identify and implement efficiency improvements in the payroll system
Establish effective mechanisms for contacting individuals and identifying additional opportunities for efficiency
Assist in the onboarding process of new election workers and provide support for payroll-related inquiries
Collaborate with and manager a payroll call center team of approximately 10 temporary employees to ensure smooth operations and onboarding process
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience as a Payroll Manager, Payroll Analyst or Project Manager
Proficiency in ADP payroll solutions and systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations is preferred
