Description We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal in the family law sector. The role is based in Chicago, Illinois and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The Paralegal will be expected to handle various tasks including filing, drafting motions, and preparing notices, in addition to general litigation duties.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out the filing process in a timely and efficient manner

• Draft legal motions with precision and attention to detail

• Prepare notices as part of general litigation duties

• Work on financial affidavits and disclosures related to family law cases

• Conduct various general litigation paralegal duties as required

• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately

• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly

• Resolve customer inquiries in a professional manner

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Requirements • Proficiency in legal filing systems and procedures

• Demonstrated ability to draft motions and legal documents

• Experience in Family Law is mandatory

• Proficient in preparing and issuing notices

• Familiarity with legal terminologies and principles

• Strong research and report-writing skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Proficiency in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
