Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Tech team at McDonald’s. This role works vertically and horizontally across teams and functions, aligning on expectations, and effectively tracking and presenting data and information in a useful manner. The role reports into the Sr. Director of Global Tech Transformation and has a dotted line reporting relationship to Program Directors for Insourcing and Product Operating Model. Key collaborators are Finance and HR partners.

Squad Control Tower and Global Tech Transformation Hiring Tracking Process

  • Evaluate and document end-to-end headcount governance process for Global Tech.

  • Develop the methodology for monitoring and analysis for Squad Control Tower (SCT) governance and execute the process.

  • Craft and develop a system for providing updates to internal partners for SCT governance and progress.

  • Enable adoption of current state and new processes aligned with HR and Finance processes.

  • Identify existing gaps, opportunities to improve and garner efficiency.

  • Propose solutions to improve the current process, tools, and forums.

  • Partner with internal teams to implement and communicate processes to Global Tech. Educate leaders on the governance process in partnership with Ops Excellence partners.

  • Serve as the source of truth between Ops Excellence, HR, and Finance partners on what roles are budgeted versus exceptions that require additional approvals.

Headcount Governance

  • Gather & organize cases for incremental, insourcing, and job change requests.

  • In partnership with recruiting, finance and the Global Tech program team, monitor hiring requests, start dates and resulting financials.

  • Prepare content for the Global Tech Headcount Governance Committee meetings and Global Technology Transformation steering committees including:

  • Provide clear summary of hiring requests and associated business cases.

  • Populate dashboard tracking for plan to actual on hiring/assoc. financials.

  • Track Headcount Governance committee decisions and build summary reports.

  • Support committee decisions through effective communication to internal partners.

  • Follow-up with hiring managers on actions, tracking, status.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, comfortable pulling information from various tools.

  • Analyze large amounts of data using multiple data sources, develop analysis templates/tools and synthesize various findings into impactful recommendations for audiences.

  • Comfortable evaluating and validating data for accuracy and effective visualization.

  • Experience working with dashboards and performance indicators.

  • Able to take large sets of information and translate into digestible story for leadership consumption.

  • Detail oriented, organized and meticulous, able to deliver on specific tasks with assurance to accurate data detail.

  • Capable of taking direction, synthesizing feedback from various sources, sorting through ambiguous datasets, and providing useful responses.

  • Able to span across detail-level tasks, while also rising up to provide leadership-level presentations.

  • Capable of moving quickly on time critical asks while handling sensitive information.

  • Comfortable working across local and international teams, on-site, hybrid, and virtual environments.

  • Able to work with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel (Office 365 / O365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and support team members working in these diverse applications.

  • Comfortable to use, navigate, or learn Smartsheet and other digital tools and dashboards.

  • Aware of needs to protect and manage sensitive information, curate datasets, and share on need-to-know basis.

  • Data analysis and business process experience, allowing the person in this role to seek opportunities for improvement, and provide useful recommendations to propel the team forward.

  • Demonstrated capacity collaborating with organizational leaders, technology leaders, human resource leaders, operational excellence, communication teams, strategy & planning, and finance.

  • Capable of managing and effectively communicating change to broad audiences.

  • Experience responding to and handling data requests, filling requests based on appropriate access.

  • Able to build and document processes, data and process mapping, sources of data, and data elements.
