Our Asset Management & Reliability (AMR) services group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
Planning Activities:
- Receive and review all work requests from requesting personnel to perform normal, scheduled Maintenance work focusing on future work; (If this is emergency work, it will be handled immediately by the Maintenance Supervisor).
{=html} <!-- --> - Upon review, approve or deny the work being requested then process the work order if approved or notify the requester if denied. - Prepare work packages for every planned maintenance activity inclusive of repetitive maintenance. - Visits the job site to ensure accuracy in building job plans/work packages and instruction. - Identify existing or create new job plans/work instructions that accurately and safely identify all required crafts/skills, time requirements, safety considerations, tasks, parts/materials, special tools, permits, etc. to perform the job. - Enters required Maintenance craft, labor, materials and time required into the system. - Work with Stores in proactively reserving/pulling, ordering/receiving, staging required spare parts and material needed for maintenance activities and assists Stores in maintaining this Kitting area. - Performs Purchasing duties as required. - Ensures all required manuals, prints, etc. are included with the work packages or are available to the technicians or contractors performing the work. - May print or distribute PMs, Job Plans and Work Orders - Reviews historical craft comments and corrective work orders for insights to improve job plans. - Frequently interacts with contractors to perform required work while capturing activity details within the site CMMS. - Initiates change controls, involved in the site Management of Change (MOC) process. - Maintains a Ready Backlog file of work orders based on priority (Typically a minimum of 2 weeks not including PM work). - Seek opportunities to enhance PMs and Job Plans by considering data from quantitative inspection checklists, adopting applicable PdM technologies. - Review and action if applicable, all Technician comments from completed Work Orders. - Collect and submit to the proper authority, all red-lined drawings, manuals, and other documents reflecting modifications to the current or as-built condition.
Scheduling Activities:
- Focuses on scheduling all non-emergency Maintenance work at the site with both internal and contract resources.
- Schedule work to the day and preferably to the hour.
- Participate in/coordinate/lead weekly Maintenance/Production planning meetings to identify available timeframes in which to schedule work to be performed.
- Obtain the needs of Manufacturing and set priorities for the work that needs scheduling.
- Ensures all resources are available prior to scheduling them.
- Coordinates off-shift work.
- Utilize available resource leveling tools to ensure available labor roles are evenly assigned.
- Prints &/or distributes schedule for the customer, Maintenance Techs and Supervisors.
- Communicates weekly lessons learned/actual work performed with Production.
- Coordinates any Work Orders that need rescheduling.
- Supports measuring and reporting related KPIs
- Lead the department in being the Maintenance and Reliability SME for the site CMM , pulling reports and performing and distributing insightful data queries.
- Measure Planning and Scheduling accuracy on a monthly basis.
- Provide department support in preparing spare parts and PM Lists for new equipment.
- Participates in site M&R improvement initiatives
- Performs other related tasks or special assignments as requested by leadership.
Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum High School degree/diploma
- Technical school or College with emphasis in Engineering, Maintenance or Manufacturing
Work Experience:
- Minimum of seven years related-work experience as a maintenance Planner/Scheduler
- Minimum of five years as a Maintenance Technician preferred
- Minimum of three years of Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or Bio-Tech Industry experience
- Knowledgeable of facility, production and R&D equipment such as motors, pumps, gear reducers, conveyors, boilers, air handlers, cooling towers, WFI, RO, transformers, MCCs, etc.
- Proficient in the use of Maintenance CMMS or EAM systems like IBM Maximo, SAP PM/S4Hana, Oracle/JDE, eMaint, Mainsaver, etc.
- Familiarity with resource leveling software tools such as Primavera, etc.
Certifications:
- Prefer CMRT or CMRP, CRL, MLE or MLT1
