Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:30:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)

Summary:

The Research Assistant will have primary responsibility for assisting the project directors in managing all aspect of the projects day-to-day operations including subject recruitment, screening for eligibility, and data collection, maintaining project database and files and supplies, assist with project reports and correspondence, assist project team staff with execution of grant activities. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and ICARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Have a car and valid driver's license.

• Willing to work flexible hours.

• Excellent computer skills.

• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Proficient with computer applications; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred; excellent organizational skills.

• Must be able to work efficiently, follow-through with assignments independently, with excellent attention to detail as well as strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytic skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with teams of collaborators.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists in data collection.

2. Tracks subject participation making reminder phone calls and following up on non-participation.

3. Assists in tracking all payments to participants.

4. Administers questionnaires

5. Maintains records.

6. Maintains and orders supplies when needed.

7. Maintains forms and electronic data collection devices.

8. Screens all participants and schedules them to be seen for data collection appointments.

9. Participates in subject recruitment.

10. Collects data using appropriate collection devices.

11. Attends staff meetings.

12. Assists in maintaining database for screened subjects and recruitment sites.

13. Assists in developing marketing materials and off site recruitment efforts.

14. Maintains confidentiality and privacy of research data.

15. Completes other activities as delegated by the PI and the project manager.
