job purpose :

Under limited supervision, the Project Coordinator will coordinate cross functional teams on multiple small to medium sized IT projects utilizing the principles and tools of the PMBOK Framework.

responsibilities:

  • Project justification: Developing business cases and project charters. The project coordinator will aid the business owners, sponsors, and other stakeholders in developing their business cases used by leadership in evaluating the value of proposed projects.

  • Project planning: Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets for small to medium sized projects (typically 0-6 months in duration of simple to moderate complexity). This includes working with stakeholders on determining the scope of the project, identifying resources required, and establishing project milestones.

  • Procurement: Coordinating with fairlife leadership to identify resources for their projects. Coordinating with fairlife subject matter experts and managing the procurement process for equipment and services for their projects as well as IT operational expenses.

  • Project execution: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to Engineering, Automation, Safety, Production, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance, to ensure smooth project execution. The project coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities, managing resources, and facilitating the resolution of any issues or conflicts that arise during the project.

  • Documentation and reporting: Maintaining accurate project documentation, including project plans, charters, risk and issue logs, RACI, communication plans and project status reports. Documenting project progress, tracking expenses, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

skills/qualifications required:

  • Associate degree in information technology or related discipline, or comparable work experience.

  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or comparable work experience.

  • 2-3 years’ experience in coordinating or managing traditional/waterfall projects in information technology.

  • some experience in coordinating hybrid projects consisting of both traditional and agile methodologies desired.

  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities to meet deadlines and stakeholder requirements.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

  • Ability to lead and influence project team members and stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage project budgets.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Proficiency in computerized information systems used in project management and collaboration (preferred tools: Microsoft (aka MS) Project, MS Planner, MS Teams, MS SharePoint)
