Numerator Financial Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Numerator is currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team, reporting to the Manager of FP&A. This multi-department-facing position will offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights, while also growing your communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the Sales, Services and Product teams in the reporting and planning processes and deliver value-added analysis to our stakeholders. You must have a love for numbers and problem-solving, and want to make a positive impact with your work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Finance team and other functional department leaders in key business projects and initiatives

  • Play an active role in the development of annual business plans and budgets, periodic strategic and long-range planning and other ad hoc analyses and reports

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of models, forecasts and key business metrics, utilizing our financial systems

  • Identify and understand the impact of variances to the annual plan and forecasts

  • Develop understanding of key business drivers, environmental factors and expense levers, and their financial and operational impact to the overall company

  • Work directly with cross-functional business leaders to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding operating forecasts and trended future requirements

  • Prepare and maintain the company’s services resource planning model and act as the key communication link between services leadership and finance

  • Analyze large data sets to produce actionable information and recommendations

  • Support M&A activity and integrations of acquired businesses

  • Assist with the month-end close process and monthly reporting package

  • BS / BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration

  • Financial planning and analysis experience is preferred, but not required

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience; must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions)

  • Self-motivated, creative and innovative approach to problem-solving

  • Demonstrated ability to make quantitative and qualitative assessments of data

  • Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • A record of accomplishment and delivery against objectives

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, and Adaptive Insights is a plus

  • Software / SaaS / technology experience preferred, but not required
