Description We are offering a contract for a Controller position in Chicago, Illinois. As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting within our organization. This role is vital to our operation in the therapeutics industry, where we focus on research targeting cancer, bleeding disorders, and primary immunodeficiencies.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all stages of accounting, ensuring precision and adherence to timelines.
• Conduct monthly financial reporting and analysis, providing insights for organizational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting principles and US GAAP standards.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, optimizing for efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain an adequate inventory accounting system within the organization.
• Utilize the NetSuite system for effective financial management and reporting.
• Contribute to budget processes, providing expertise and strategic input.
• Manage full cycle accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
• Oversee R& D Accounting, ensuring accurate financial representation of research and development efforts.
• Bring your experience in the manufacturing industry to bear, providing industry-specific insights and expertise. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position
• Proficiency in accounting functions is mandatory
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Familiarity with budget processes is essential
• Proficient use of NetSuite is necessary
• Profound knowledge of GAAP Accounting is expected
• Understanding of US GAAP is crucial
• Experience in maintaining adequate inventory is needed
• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
• Ability to conduct monthly financial reporting is important
• Experience in preparing monthly financial reports is a must
• Expertise in financial reporting is vital
