Kelly Services Contract Specialist (Healthcare) in Chicago, Illinois

Pay: $36/Hr approximately $75,000 annual salary

Hours: M-F 8am to 5pm CDT

Must be able to work on-site in Chicago, IL

Summary:

This position is responsible for interpreting health benefits and preparing member-facing booklets and policies to align with extraterritorial statutory requirements, corporate guidelines, underwriting policy, and benefit specifications. The role involves implementing account and legislative initiatives (of high complexity), and monitoring compliance and conformity of implementations.

The Contract Specialist will work with all business areas that impact the client experience while planning implementations, developing business cases, and actively driving the identification of opportunities for improving efficiencies and processes within the implementation experience and implementing those solutions.

Essential Functions:

  1. Drafting and Filing:

    • Draft and file with Department of Insurance regulators, standard and/or non-

      standard language for all product lines, including extra-territorial legislation.

  2. Implementation Support:

    • Support implementation activities of draft member-facing benefit documents.

    • Coordination of SME and legal reviews/comments.

    • Filing with regulators, tracking, and monitoring approvals of filings.

    • Managing objections and delivering final approved documents to internal

      stakeholders.

  3. Timeline Management:

    • Work in accordance with set timelines, tracking, and reporting the

      progression of work.

  4. Quality Control:

    • Contribute to quality control initiatives to meet departmental standards.
  5. Professional Interaction:

    • Consult, communicate, and interact professionally and effectively with co-

      workers, management, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience and familiarity with:

  • Reviewing statutes and regulations.

  • Drafting member-facing booklets.

  • Filing with State Insurance Regulators.

  • Bachelor degree and knowledge of health care regulatory and legislative

    process
