Job Description:

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be expected to effectively manage all aspects of a litigation process, from complaint filing, discovery, to motions and trials. Your primary roles will include case management, file organization, document work, communication, and research.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage litigation support processes for all stages of litigation from complaint filing to discovery, to motions, to trial.

• Maintain case files and develop efficient tools for retrieval of key information.

• Draft legal briefs, going beyond cite-checking to suggest keen editorial improvements and careful proofreading edits that result in a concise persuasive writing.

• Attend trial, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness under pressure.

• Stay proactive in communication regarding ongoing or upcoming projects.

• Approach tasks resourcefully to identify solutions, considering the team’s overall goals.

• Maintain consistency in attention to detail, proofreading work for errors and avoid unnecessary mistakes.

• Show dedication to team ethos, delegating work or assisting with colleagues’ tasks as necessary.

• Provide mentorship and training colleagues and educate them through presentations.

• Manage time effectively under pressure, prioritizing multiple tasks and projects.

• Conduct relevant legal research, being familiar with federal, state and local rules, judge information, filing procedures.

• Manage eDiscovery via an eDiscovery platform.

  Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• 4+ years of experience in a law firm with trial experience required.

• Proficient in the e-Discovery process with experience using at least one eDiscovery platform, ideal experience using multiple e-Discovery platforms.

• Must have attended at least one trial.

• Must be willing to travel for trials.

• Mastery of relevant technology tools such as NetDocuments, Office Suite.

• Proven track record of performing thoroughly under high pressure and tight deadlines.

• Strong commitment to firm ethos concerning equality and wellness.
