Acadia Healthcare Assistant Director Admissions in Chicago, Illinois

Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead and unite the Admissions Department into an integrated team.

  • Execute the business development and marketing department's strategic plan for admissions and client referrals.

  • Address quality management issues in crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admissions.

  • Assign evaluations, intakes, and admissions based on requests and hospital census.

  • Oversee quality assurance and improvement programs for admission services.

  • Conduct follow-up communication and provide recommendations to organizational leadership.

  • Deliver orientation, in-service, and continuing education for department staff.

  • Act as a clinical liaison with referral sources.

  • Enhance departmental efficiency and quality, setting and achieving goals.

  • Ensure compliance with new laws and regulations.

  • Train and supervise staff.

  • Plan, assign, and supervise duties for patient safety and department efficiency on assigned shifts.

  • Prioritize potential admissions based on patient needs and facility capacity.

  • Apply clinical assessment, diagnoses, and interventions as necessary.

  • Provide guidance, encourage teamwork, and build trust among team members.

  • Maintain EMTALA logs, if applicable.

  • Serve as a preceptor for new admission team employees.

  • Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude towards customers, resolving complaints and prioritizing patient safety

​EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in a social services field is required.

  • ​Master’s degree in a social services field or RN preferred.

  • ​Two or more years’ experience in a healthcare admissions role is preferred.

​LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work , or Human Services related field

  • Required Licenses (LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW) within 6 months to 1 year

  • Good organization skills, attention to detail, excellent oral and verbal communication skills

  • ​CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
