Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated General Production Workers for our packaging labor roles. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including putting caps and lids on bottles, bottling products into boxes and cases, sorting and separating finished products, and more. Openings are available at both our Alsip and Chicago Heights facilities, with similar job duties at each site.

Responsibilities

• Putting caps and lids on bottles

• Bottling products into boxes and cases

• Placing bottles, caps, lids into boxes

• Sorting and separating finished products

• Packing jugs and bottles into boxes

• Lifting and staging boxes

• Palletizing and wrapping boxes and containers

• Placing boxes and products into sealer machinery

• Performing quality inspections by counting, sorting, and size

• Placing tags and labels on products and boxes

• Pulling cases off the line, stacking on pallets

• Wrapping and staging cases and boxes

• Working on multiple lines for packaging product

• Helping operators with batch mixing and janitorial work

• Assisting in making batches, weighing out product liquid, and preparation work for batches

• Documenting all orders

• Working with drums and totes

• Lifting up to 55lbs

• Performing housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and salting parking lot in snowy conditions

• Flexibly moving between packaging and formulation tasks

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform multiple jobs and work in multiple areas

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Manufacturing experience

• Steel toe boots

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing

• Packaging experience

• Labor experience

• Multi-tasking skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago Heights

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $18.45/hr.
