Job Title: Security Officer

Salary: From $17 an hour

Job Summary:

Security Officers are responsible for patrolling and inspecting the property to prevent illegal activities. They must report any issues or concerns to the Site Manager immediately and ensure the safety and security of the premises.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Safeguard property against fire, enforce property laws, and deter all types of criminal activity.

• Respond to emergencies, providing emergency assistance utilizing skills and training, including CPR, AED, and FIRST AID care.

• Communicate patient care to responding medical personnel, and apply dressings and compression when needed.

• Transport and protect company assets when necessary.

• Investigate and document all incidents as required.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of and enforce all policies and procedures.

• Maintain a high level of personal integrity.

• Display friendly, courteous, and polite behavior to internal and external guests at all times.

• Give full attention to guest opportunities and take ownership to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Generate necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving guests, employees, and/or the facility.

• Act as a dispatcher during emergency situations, coordinating solutions.

• Operate company vehicles as directed.

• Ensure safe transportation of company money and assist in opening and closing procedures.

• Maintain or escort a series of keys, accessing locked areas as necessary.

• Accept identification from all persons appearing to be under the age of thirty (30) to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Escort patrons and employees to their vehicles, as necessary.

• Perform regular patrols of the facility on foot, both inside and outside.

• Identify unsafe conditions or suspicious activity and inform management immediately.

• Perform occasional surveillance reviews as requested.

• Follow and understand the Security Standard Operating Procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site Manager or Supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in law enforcement or gaming security preferred.

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
