Vontier Digital Workplace Engineer, Microsoft Teams in Cheyenne, Wyoming

This role reports to the Platform Lead-Office 365 & Automation, and is located in Bangalore, India.

You will collaborate closely with our global Vontier teams and Operating Companies, managing day-to-day activities through our systems. As a Digital Workplace Engineer specializing in Microsoft Teams, you will work closely with infrastructure and product team leads, architects, and enhance the digital workspace experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools and technology. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft Teams and Microsoft O365 solutions. This involves leveraging technologies such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive to meet our business needs. You will also drive best practices in Digital Workplace and Office 365 infrastructure tools and technology.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Support day-to-day operations of Microsoft Teams and Voice Environments, ensuring system functionality and monitoring system health across the O365 Tenant.

• Keep Microsoft Teams environments updated with the latest Microsoft updates and policies and features.

• Monitor and maintain call quality and reliability using the Call Quality Dashboard (CQD), identifying users experiencing poor call quality. Generate, update, and manage CQD reports.

• Possess in-depth knowledge of managing Teams within Microsoft 365, encompassing all functionalities.

• Experience in configuring and managing Teams Operator Connect and Direct Routing.

• Configure and manage all Teams settings, policies, and upgrades.

• Recover deleted data and chat history for users, and recover deleted content within Teams environments.

• Manage voice features within Teams, including calling policies and phone number assignments.

• Utilize advanced tools to troubleshoot user call quality issues.

• Set up security policies for Teams usage within the organization.

• Manage app publishing within the Teams admin center.

• Manage calendar and meeting settings, including configurations and bridges.

• Troubleshoot complex Teams functionality issues for the entire tenant.

• Integrate Teams with other Office 365 services to enhance collaboration.

• Manage messaging and meeting policies for effective communication.

• Configure and manage conference bridges for Teams meetings.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) of system and application configurations and changes.

WHO YOU ARE

• Candidates applying for this position should have at least 4-5 years of experience in developing and supporting large-scale MS Teams environments.

• Experience with direct routing, SBCs, Teams Phone, AudioCodes, etc.

• Experience utilizing tools like Power Platform and Graph APIs to automate tasks and generate reports for Teams data.

• Experience and proficiency in PowerShell and PowerApps to develop custom solutions and conduct testing within Teams.

• Experience in integrating third-party applications seamlessly into the Teams environment.

• Experience in maintaining a strong understanding of Microsoft licensing options to ensure optimal Teams deployment within budget constraints.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Solid understanding of quality standards, legislation, ITIL, and best practices.

• Capacity to adapt and prioritize tasks effectively, proficient in gathering and assimilating information.

• Familiarity with industry standards, available technologies, and best practices in security and systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
