KENT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Boys and Girls Tumbling Movement Instructor in Chestertown, Maryland

Position Summary:

The Boys and Girls Tumbling and Movement Instructor position requires extensive experience in tumbling/movement, gymnastics and/or cheerleading. The Instructor must be at least21 years of age. The position requires individuals to be responsible for the safety of the students always as well as the lesson plan for each class. Successful candidates must be team oriented and can inspire and encourage students throughout their tumbling and movement experience. The position is one that is in the public eye and successful candidates must reflect a professional manner and exceptional character attributes. Candidates who can commit to work every Saturday from 8 am until 12:30 pm for a 6-week period (February- mid March) will have first consideration for the position combined with experience and background.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proper use of equipment,
  • Spotting,
  • Supervising students during instructional time,

Position Requirements:

  • Current Certification in CPR and First Aid or have the ability to obtain with the first 30 days,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Able to teach skills to students,
  • Supervise and guide assistants,
  • Be creative,
  • Be Enthusiastic

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds,
  • Light Cleaning,
  • Demonstration Tumbling movements,
  • Actively engaging in indoor recreational activities with participants,
  • Lifting programming equipment,
