Job Description

Insight Global is looking to add a Lead Software Engineer to our clients team in St. Louis, MO. This person will be responsible for leading a team of 5 developers on the development team and will supervise the quality of work, timelines, and project risks. They will also be working with full stack technologies (mainly working on the back end with some front end exposure). They will design, develop, test, deploy, and support API-based applications from concept to finished product with a cloud-first emphasis. This person will build and encourage a collaborative environment while promoting architectural standards of the organization. This person must be able to articulate architectural direction and solutions to both product stakeholders and the development team.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field

• 8+ years of software development experience with 1+ years in a lead or supervisor role

• Highly skilled in full stack technologies, including JavaScript, NodeJS, React, Java, and Python

• Proficiency in Test-Driven Development

• Experience with Terraform

• Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information - Master's degree and/or LOMA certification

• Cloud experience (AWS or GCP)

• Experience with and/or exposure to Snowflake and/or DBT

• Experience with Kubernetes and Dockers for containerization null
