Reference #: 4632073 THE POSITION Are your attention to detail and administrative skills second to none?  The Department of Corrections is seeking a Clerical Supervisor 1 to oversee our dedicated clerical team and support a higher-level administrative supervisor for the Department of Corrections (DOC) State Correctional Institution (SCI) Chester. Bring your professional skills and ambition to our team, apply today!    DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will perform the full range of supervisory duties over subordinate CA2s. You will manage, review, and track work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion,  establish work plans and goals, and provide new employee orientation, job training and support.  You will have the opportunity to review, monitor, and approve/disapprove leave requests, complete employee performance reviews, and participate in the interviewing and selection process of subordinate clerical staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785.00 You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2; or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
