Reference #: 4547468 THE POSITION The Department of Agriculture is currently on the lookout for individuals who possess a wealth of knowledge and experience in the realm of harness racing. They are specifically seeking candidates to take on the role of Associate Judge at the prestigious Harrah's Philadelphia Racetrack. As an Associate Judge, your primary responsibility will be to meticulously interpret and enforce the rules and regulations set forth by the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission. By doing so, you will play a crucial role in upholding the integrity and fairness of this exhilarating sport. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this position, your main responsibility will be to uphold the fairness and honesty of horse racing by interpreting and implementing the rules and regulations set by the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission. Your duties will involve maintaining important records such as the Judges Books, the Steward's List, accident reports, and daily reports to the Commission. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing, delivering, and publicly displaying all notices regarding penalties, rulings, and decisions. Furthermore, you will provide support and assistance to the Presiding Judge in their role.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Per Diem employment. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday and Sunday. Work schedule is vendor controlled and may vary based on race schedule. Salary: This position is per diem; the daily rate of pay is $340.00. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
