Eaton Corporation Associate Engineer - Ocean Technical Systems in Chessington, United Kingdom
For our Ocean Technical Systems team in Chessington, Surrey we are looking for an Associate Engineer.
Hybrid working solutions available, this is a day shift and travel rate is up to 75% of the time.
The role is reporting into the Plant Manager for the site.
In this role, you will provide support to all Engineering departments involved in the specification, design, production, test, repair, and on site installation and commissioning, aspects of the Eaton Oceantech business.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility shall be to provide engineering support to the Production Department to ensure the timely manufacture of the company product including the implementation of test environments to successfully pass the Factory Test prior to shipment
Study and assist engineers with fault finding and repair of embedded electronic modules, PCBs, and instruments
Provide engineering support to Project Managers, Project Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Software Engineers whenever possible to gain a wider understanding of the engineering processes used to design the customer systems
Perform company on site installation/commissioning services at customer locations (International)
Qualifications:
Graduate Engineer in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with good Math and Physics A-Level (or equivalent)
Knowledge of electronic circuits, PCBs, and embedded software (Python, C++) are essential
Comfortable with flying (light aircraft/helicopter), experience on boats (e.g. sailing), proficient swimmer (essential), and driver’s license
Confident traveling alone to international destinations
Ability to work alone and make decisions without being directed
