As a Production Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting production areas where product non-conformance, tool management, production associate training/certs, and engineering project are required by product and process design. You will be instrumental in areas like, but not limited to; QN management, Disposition area inventory controls, Assembly tools preventive maintenance, production associate job training and certification assistance, Rework/Teardown process and tooling development, Product failure RCCA, and EWR product sample management. What YOU Will Do:

  • Support programs like gyroscope and smart inertial assemblies, RCCA, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), with expertise in industrial relations and task coordination in a fast-paced environment

  • Ensure readiness and flawless execution of assembly operations, including product builds, tests, teardowns, inspections, and updates to work instructions and process aids/fixtures

  • Verify components and assemblies meet specifications and quality standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to plan and execute projects

  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and daily build/teardown tasks, assisting production technicians with machine/process downtimes

  • Expand technical knowledge to support all phases of Operations and Engineering, focusing on producibility, efficiency, quality, and commitment

  • Conduct electro-mechanical troubleshooting, making modifications to hardware, fixtures, and tooling to enhance performance

  • Create and implement standard procedures for Total Productive and Preventative Maintenance

  • Engage in reading and writing electrical/electronic documentation

  • Become a certified CORE Champion, practice and teach CORE methods, and participate in CORE projects/events

  • Develop weekly technical update reports and prepare charts/diagrams to illustrate workflows, layouts, and machine utilization

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience

  • High school diploma with 1-3 years of Aerospace/Manufacturing industry experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • Six Sigma/ACE/CORE Troubleshooting and Continuous Improvement experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Electrical/Electronic Vocational School Certification/Diploma or High school diploma with 1-3 aerospace industry experience

  • Experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting and teardown

  • Experience with machine maintenance, troubleshooting both mechanical, electrical and electronics equipment in a manual or automated operation

  • Strong communication skills, self-starter, self-driven

  • Experience with continuous improvement processes

  • Self-motivation to plan required tasks and lead a team to achieve significant goals with little outside direction

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
