Looking for a unique opportunity to blend urgent case acuity with the pace and work-life balance of scheduled appointments? BluePearl Veterinary Specialists in Virginia Beach is seeking an urgent care doctor to join our 2-site locations. We’re creating a community service to provide access to higher-acuity veterinary cases on days, evenings, and occasional weekends. You’ll have the ability to consult with, or refer to, our surgery/internal medicine teams in addition to the ability to deliver emergency-tilted medical and surgical skills. While surgery/endoscopy/imaging isn’t a requirement, we have advanced training opportunities for endoscopic foreign body retrieval, emergency surgeries, and ultrasound capabilities for those interested in expanding their comfort in practicing autonomously. This position can be Full-Time or Part-Time with flexible and adjustable hours.

Our Chesapeake hospital is a 10,000 square foot facility that offers internal medicine, I-131, oncology, and diagnostic ultrasound services with a 16-slice CT scanner, and video otoscopy. Our Town Center location is a 14,000 square foot, newly renovated facility which offers soft tissue/orthopedic surgery, oncology, and dermatology with a 64-slice CT scanner, telemetry, ultrasound, and endoscopy.

Our facilities are located within 20 minutes of the Virginia Beach oceanfront as well as downtown Norfolk. Every year, Virginia Beach hosts the East Coast Surfing Championships as well as the North American Sand Soccer Championship. The lively boardwalk has plenty of restaurants, nightspots and amusement rides. Sport enthusiasts will find celebrated golf courses in the area, as well as sea kayaking, deep-sea fishing and miles of hiking trails. The City of Norfolk is home to the Norfolk Tides – the AAA team for the Baltimore Orioles, and the Norfolk Admirals – an ECHL professional hockey team. Not far from the facility, we have the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts where the Virginia Symphony Orchestra performs along with the Ballet Virginia International. The Museum of Contemporary Art is also within a few miles. The City of Norfolk offers both cultural and sporting events year-round. Both the Chrysler Museum and the Chrysler Center are located within minutes of downtown.
