Dollar Tree Project Manager IPC in Chesapeake, Virginia

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in managing Retail IT systems related projects, combined with exception leadership skills and an understanding of Agile methodologies. This individual will be responsible for the oversight, planning, execution, and completion of projects utilizing Jira and Agile methodologies. The candidate must be an effective communicator and comfortable managing large cross functional teams.

The candidate should have a consistent track record of working on complex and cross-functional projects from inception to completion, should possess a strong technical background and can understand engineering details. The candidate can lead an agile development process, and also respect teams' ability to self-organize. Day-to-day the candidate will:

  • Possess a high degree of flexibility and ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment

  • Facilitate solutioning and sprint planning sessions with key partners to drive the interim/end-state design and plan

  • Lead SAFe Scrum ceremonies, including but not limited to Daily Stand Up, Iteration Planning/Retrospective/Review, and Program Increment (PI) Planning/Retrospective team activities

  • Develop and coordinate the definition and execution the change management and communication plan and complete the Impact Assessment

  • Work closely with senior management to design and build release dashboards/metrics

  • Lead the scrum teams in using Agile methodology and scrum practices to drive the business outcomes in an iterative way.

  • Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization

  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments.

  • Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework

  • Resolve conflicts and issues that occur

  • Help more than one consecutive scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity

  • Project administration and the timely production of project documentation, e.g. project plans, reports, metrics etc.

  • Support the product owner and provide education where needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or master’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or equivalent work experience

  • 8+ years of experience as a Program Manager and leading scrum teams

  • Ability to lead multiple teams and large cross functional projects.

  • Experience using Jira and other Atlassian tools such as Planning and Structure

  • Professional Certificates: Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Scaled Agilist (SA)

  • Strong Experience in agile delivery mode

  • Ability to multi-task, organize & lead a group of architects, engineers, analysts while attending to all details of multiple teams.

  • Must be hands-on, with "roll up your sleeves" attitude to drive program success.

  • Organized verbal and written business communication that effectively achieves business objectives

  • Ability to drive continuous improvements and operational excellence

  • Collaborative and open style with a constructive and positive attitude

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict

  • Ability to work with and lead multiple teams

  • Preferred skills : Retail experience, Network Engineering, and Network Security.
