Dollar Tree IT Solutions Delivery Manager in Chesapeake, Virginia

We are seeking an IT Solutions Delivery Manager – Core Systems to play a key leadership role in defining, managing, planning and executing IT solutions that will enhance and improve our business capabilities. This role works to implement the tactical and strategic initiatives for our business, by delivering capabilities with effective technology solutions

The IT Solutions Delivery Manager – Core Systems acts as a critical liaison between business, technology and support teams, as well as external stakeholders to deliver our business strategy as capabilities through an IT Product-Oriented-Delivery (POD) team framework. This role will lead and manage the quality of the deliverables for their respectively assigned high-performing team(s) comprised of direct and indirect reports.

The IT Solutions Delivery Manager – Core Systems is responsible for overseeing the configuration, integrations and development of systems to deliver capabilities within Dollar Tree. This role is responsible for the delivery of capabilities with architecture, security, compliance, data, quality, support and process methodology consistent with our way of working. This role will advocate and support execution of highly configurable, scalable, flexible, and agile development operations.

This IT Solutions Delivery Manager – Core System s must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management both within and outside of the IT department.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or other related degree

  • 8+ years’ experience with current, relevant technology. Includes delivering multiple, large, highly complex system changes, projects & programs with a prominent role in IT or Business. This would include both SaaS and custom developed solutions

  • Proven experience to lead and manage teams consisting of in-house and remote associates as well as contractors

  • Understands the market and can explain the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact the enterprise, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise

  • Works on complex issues requiring in-depth knowledge of as-is & to-be technology details, organizational objectives, competing priorities, and translates business requirements into solution / design

  • Recommends improvements to the portfolio roadmap, based on experience and acumen, as well as across division/department lines

Requirements in Area of Expertise

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience developing the right solution to problems

  • Expert skills to identify risks, then mitigate or exploit them

  • Expert skills using MS Office Suite (Word, Visio, Excel, Powerpoint, Project), Sharepoint, Smartsheets, JIRA, Service Now

  • Expert time management, organization, and leadership skills to effectively drive

Core Systems, Finance, Procurement and Real Estate Systems (includes first day, plus):

  • Experience with enhancing and/or implementing core & back-office systems desiredSS:

  • ERP & Financial Accounting solutions (such as Infor Lawson)

  • Business Intelligence Systems (such as Google Analytics, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, Artificial Intelligence Algorithms)

  • Procurement solutions (such as SAP Ariba)

  • Real Estate solutions including Lease, Site Planning and Construction

  • Facilities Maintenance/Work Order solutions
