Robert Half Facilities Coordinator in Chesapeake, Virginia

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator in the retail industry, based in CHESAPEAKE, Virginia. The role involves managing facilities requests, coordinating maintenance, and liaising with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to handle inbound calls and provide administrative assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage various facilities requests, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

• Collaborate with different departments to establish responsibility for maintenance and repairs.

• Use computer programs such as OfficeTrax and MS Suite to carry out duties effectively.

• Handle a high volume of tasks, demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Liaise with landlords and other external parties as necessary.

• Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality service.

• Review leases to determine whether landlord or tenant is responsible for facility issues.

• Utilize your background in facilities coordination to manage and schedule facility maintenance and service requests.

• Handle and resolve customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.

• Process and monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the retail industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with answering inbound calls and providing customer service

• Previous experience in administrative assistance is required

• Proven experience as a Facilities Coordinator or similar role

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated

• Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles

• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong planning and leadership abilities

• An eye for detail

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field

• Valid Certified Facility Manager (CFM) will be an advantage
