About Team

The RBS group in Chennai is an integral part of the Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team's goal is to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team’s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience

Key Performance Areas:

  • Build scalable products/solutions which will impact Buyability & Delivery speed of an item in Amazon.

  • Analyze data and is responsible for highlighting gaps, recommending solutions, driving/influencing inter-function decisions.

  • Use SQL and Tableau/QuickSight to generate insights, analyze opportunities, identify patterns and implement proactive solutions.

  • Identify root causes for Buyability & Speed drop offs, work with Selection SMEs WW and Tech teams to work on implementing Corrective-Preventive Action and and identify opportunities for Automation.

  • Excellent Internal/External Stakeholder Management

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering , analytics, mathematics, statistics or a related technical or quantitative field

  • Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identifying and solving business issues

  • Experience working with AWS Services

  • Advanced ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required

  • Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
