Role

Senior Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Experience

10 to 12 years

Responsibilities:

• Engage with Product Design team during the design cycle to ensure designs for manufacturability and testability guidelines are consistent and adhered to.

• Review new designs and work with tool designers to ensure that design goals are met and ensure efficient and capable production methods and processes.

• Provide manufacturing liaison support during EVT builds.

• Release all products to Contract Manufacturers, for all phases in the design cycle, EVT, DVT, PVT and finally mass production.

• Work with Engineering to ensure all documentation necessary for manufacturing of released products is provided.

• Work with Contract Manufacturers to review SOPs and ensure they are consistent with quality manufacturing of all products.

• Review product costs and where applicable, work with Contract Manufacturers to strive for cost reductions.

• Responsible for all Documentation Control activities to include administration of the Product Data Management system (Arena).

• Generate all ECO/ECR and release of same.

• Reponsible for maintaining and improving the BoM structure and definition.

• Part number generation for all components, BoMs, documents required for product and process definitions.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education/work experience (master’s degree a plus).

• Demonstrated work experience in electronic devices manufacturing.

• Experience in DFM/DFT. Knowledge of statistical process control and quality improvement methodologies.

• Self-starter with proven history of driving contract manufacturers capabilities and efficiencies.

• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

• Strong knowledge and experience with complex electronic manufacturing processes.

• Experience with high volume and high mix manufacturing.

• Must be able to communicate well, both written and verbally, across the organization and be able to efficiently collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.

• Experience in Design for Manufacturability and Testability.

• Experience in working with and managing contract manufacturers.

• Experience in lean manufacturing and 6-sigma a major plus.

• Mandarin Chinese speaking a plus.
