Application Engineer shall provide optimum system technical solutions to Customers of various Industries, shall work in conjunction with sales team as key technical advisor. Should be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for technical challenges ensuring customer satisfaction, establish and maintain strong relationships with customers.

Essential Responsibilities :

Should possess knowledge in Power system, Drives and Transformers.

Should possess strong technical background and the ability to discuss complex technical requirements with customers.

Understanding contractual requirements, provide technical solution in time and quality.

Providing technical support during customer meetings and product presentations.

Supporting the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions as well as the preparation of technical offers.

Reviewing the proposals received from sub-suppliers to meet customer requirements.

Collaborating with relevant functions in the region (Engineering, Commissioning, Sourcing. Global in order to identify a technically feasible and optimal techno-commercial proposal. Identify technical risks and put in place the mitigation plan. Adherence to the ITO process.

Ability to multitask and prioritize based on business needs to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. Identify and implement measures for cost optimization. Drive lessons learned, standard methodologies and standardization into Technical Proposals. Review solutions developed and identify opportunities for improvement of process, system, or equipment. Ensure strict compliance with all company and customer’s EHS policies and procedures. Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team

Qualifications/Requirements :

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Minimum 10 years of Industry experience

Solid technical background in the field of Medium Voltage Drives and Power Systems

5+ years’ experience in the role of Application Engineering for Industry / Marine / Oil &Gas for solutions based on Variable Speed Drive System and Power System

Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

Capable of working with multi-disciplined international team with good personal organization skills

Proficient knowledge of Application Engineering tools (e.g. Sales force)

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Knowledge of Indian / International Standards / regulations.

Knowledge on the costing tools / methodology adapted for application engineering process.

Shown ability to effectively lead and guide people.

Strong prioritizing and time management skills.

Willing to travel on short notice within base country and overseas for short/long term assignments
