Role Definition

Verification and validation of electronic systems and components to use within equipment or machinery; supports other engineers to perform tasks when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Setup specialized dSpace HIL test bench and execute Hardware modifications per cross-functional test requests.

  • Create technical specification, be involved in the procurement process of required equipment, build up assemble and configure the test environment.

  • Develop and calibrate HIL plant models.

  • Work cross-functionally with Systems and, software developers to incorporate and adapt best practices to real time HIL based validation testing.

  • Troubleshoot and provide creative, technically feasible solutions to problems encountered during development and post-production.

  • Design, code, test, and debug software and systems

  • Unit test and verify software strategies in bench and lab environments

  • Integrate and validate other control modules

  • Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources

  • Troubleshoot the issues identified at system benches or customer production sites and provide resolution

Degree Requirement

  • Minimum 7-9 years of engineering experience with Bachelors in EEE / ECE / E&I

• Reviews the efficiency of standard operating procedures in terms of performance improvement.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

• Accurately gauges the impact and cost of errors, omissions, and oversights.

• Utilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking outputs.

• Processes limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy.

• Learns from mistakes and applies lessons learned.

• Develops and uses checklists to ensure that information goes out error-free.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Experience with MATLAB Simulink and Simscape, Configuration Desk, Control Desk, Automation Desk

• Experience with HIL testing using dSpace Scalexio, OPAL RT or similar.

• Experience in CAN, J1939, SPI, UART or I2C protocol and CAN related tools;

• Good experience with CAN tools- CANalyzer/CANape/CANoe etc, and compilers tools usage;

• Expertise in System and Software requirement analysis, Software design practices;

• Expertise in Software Configuration Tools may include GIT/ClearCase/any

• One year of experience in HIL or model-based Development of automotive systems and features (diesel & electric)

• Knowledge on C & Python Programming

• Strong analytical skills

• Knowledge on Industrial protocols like Modbus, TCP/IP

• Emphasis on initiative and strong technical insight

• Demonstrated clear commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

• Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills

• Desire to work in a fast paced, team environment
