Emerson Engineer - Planning in CHENNAI, India

Job Summary:

If you are a Planning specialist, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Planner to work for our India Pressure Management Business unit. You will be responsible for ensuring the right materials arrive on time to avoid factory operation delays or line stoppages. This gives you a very vital role in helping drive growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

Primary Work Location Mahindra World City, Chengalpattu

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Releasing planned orders to PR.

  • Reviewing the scheduled sales orders and providing promise date by reviewing the ATP (Available to promise) output.

  • Coordinating and verifying production routings, preparation of work orders based on BOM.

  • Reviewing the shortages for work orders and expediting purchase team for arranging on time.

  • Releasing Work orders to shop floor as per schedule.

  • Expediting Warehouse for issuing Work orders, shop, and QC/QA for timely delivery of products from them to ensure on time delivery of valves to the customer.

  • Review of planning when sales order specs, drawings and BOM’s were revised, such review can result in addition/ modification of materials in Work order and shop planning as well.

  • Maintain planning file for sales orders from entry to last valve delivery.

  • Arranging subcontract work-orders for items which need to be sent for Powder coating, Painting, Machining, and fabrication.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Degree in Engineering with relevant planning and scheduling experience and a total experience of 2-3 years

  • High level of integrity & trust

  • Good command on MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Good communications, negotiation, and people management skills.

  • Basic Finance and Costing Knowledge is preferred.

  • Familiar with ISO9001 Management System, as well as the requirements of Corporate Safety Management and Occupational Health Management is preferred.

  • Must be a Self-driven & Self-motivated Leader.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience with Oracle or any other ERP will be an added advantage.
