Ford Customer Service Division(FCSD) Tech is seeking a talented and experienced Google Cloud Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics product group. As a Google Cloud Data Engineer at FCSD Tech, you will be responsible for establishing the FCSD Tech Data Platform which enables ease of data product consumption for end-users delivering innovative data science and machine learning solutions to drive business growth and enhance customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Google Cloud infrastructure solutions for the organization.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation.

• Perform hands-on technical work including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Google Cloud services.

• Optimize infrastructure performance and cost efficiency.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support data analytics and machine learning initiatives.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Implementing data governance and security best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.

• Optimizing data infrastructure and architecture for scalability and performance.

• Providing technical expertise and guidance on data engineering best practices.

Work closely with the Product Managers to include continuous technical improvement in the Product Roadmap

Qualifications:

•Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

•Proficiency in GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Storage.

•Strong understanding of data engineering concepts such as ETL processes, data modeling, and data pipelines.

•Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java for data processing and analysis.

•Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark and Apache Beam.

•Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and tools such as BigQuery, Snowflake, and Postgres.

•Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices in a cloud environment.

•Experience with version control systems like Git for managing code repositories.

•Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.

•Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large datasets efficiently.

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

•Experience leveraging Google Cloud Dataflow for data quality management.

•Experience with Terraform for CI/CD pipeline execution, coupled with Tekton integrated into Git.
