Application / Team Overview:

Services - TTS has made strategic investments in key technologies which will enable our business to grow and innovate into the future. One of these investment areas is Big Data, where we are building on our existing capability within GIW to support growing needs of organization.

The TTS Big Data platform is a multi-year critical program within Data Technology. Great exposure and opportunity to work with the latest technologies such as Hadoop and the Big Data eco-system, Real-time processing and Analytics.

Role Description:

This role is for an Apps Dev Programmer Analyst within the GIW Big Data XPAY program. The candidate will work on existing applications and frameworks for data delivery (GIW) and will be responsible for design and development of new models and frameworks, and delivering on business use cases as our data strategy is developed further. The role is within a technology group, but involves engagement with business and understanding of operating environments.

Detail Role Specifications & Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (in Science, Computers, Information Technology or Engineering)

• At least 9 years overall IT experience with experience on large & complex projects

Technical / Functional Proficiency:

• Must have 6 yrs development experience in Hadoop / Big Data domain experience in Spark, SCALA, HDFS, Hive, S3, Couchbase and Impala.

• Must have 3+ years of experience in DWH like Oracle (preferable) and/or Teradata or MYSQL

• Expertise in developing shell and Unix scripting

• Experience in Hadoop based real time and batch based architecture

• Experience in NoSQL databases like HBase and Couchbase

• Experience in real time messaging and ingestion including Kafka

• Experience in Cloudera distribution CDP 7.x - Hadoop Distributed File System, YARN, ZooKeeper, Oozie

• Experience in management and troubleshooting of Spark Jobs

• Experience in developing frameworks and utility services including logging/monitoring

• Experience in Java/Scala API development and use of JSON/XML/Hypermedia data formats

• Agile development processes experiences a plus

• Financial Services domain expertise is a plus

• Preferred to have Python and exposure or working experience in AWS, Snowflake and other cloud environment
