Sodexo is seeking a full-time Pediatric Dietitian to add to our growing team at the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, TN .The Children’s Hospital at Erlanger is a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center (CRPC), the highest state designation for pediatrics. It offers a full complement of pediatric subspecialists, a pediatric ER and ICU, and a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit, providing the region's highest level of critical care for infants. Erlanger Health System is an academic medical center affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga and is the region's most comprehensive network of hospitals and physicians.

The successful candidate will:

• provide nutritional care for pediatric, PICU and NICU patients;

• develop and implement medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care;

• perform quality improvement initiatives;

• provide education to patients and families; provide staff education to ensure the safe management and care of clients and families; serve as preceptor to dietetic interns;and

• collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during team conferences to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in TN;

• minimum of one year of experience working with pediatrics in an acute care setting;

• strong verbal and written communication skills;

• the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment; and

• the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
