Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Tech for 2nd shift. The Maintenance Tech performs preventative maintenance procedures, ensures equipment reliability, and performs reactive maintenance on machines and equipment to fix breakdowns as quickly as possible. Responsibilities include supporting the production team as the mechanical expert, ensuring the functionality of production and support equipment, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, making necessary repairs or adjustments, performing basic electrical duties, executing package changeovers, supporting the team in all operational aspects, training team members, focusing on continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment in accordance with ISO Good Manufacturing Practices standards.

Hard Skills

• Knowledge of gearboxes, conveyors, high-speed machinery, pumps, and pneumatic systems

• Preventative maintenance procedures

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions

• Basic electrical duties (replace motors, switches, using electrical meters, etc.)

• Mechanical and technical adjustments to machines and equipment

• Part repair and replacement

• Experience with maintenance in a food or beverage production environment or blow molding experience highly preferred

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 days.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chattanooga, TN.

Work Environment

Non-climate controlled work environment that is somewhat humid due to the constant water flow and the cool/hot/humid nature of the equipment and liquid being processed.

Shift: 2nd - 4:30pm to 3:00am

Pay: $29.68/hr

Schedule: Monday-Saturday

Weekly hours: 60
