Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We're hiring for a great company that's looking for Maintenance Mechanics, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Your role will involve completing both preventive and reactive maintenance tasks on CNC machines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. You will follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions. Additionally, you will locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Your responsibilities will also include dismantling devices to remove defective parts, using tools such as hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. You will play a crucial role in controlling downtime by educating production workers on routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. Moreover, you will manage equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and maintain your technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops and other professional development activities.

Job Type

This is a permanent, direct hire position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chattanooga, TN.

Pay: $26.31/hr for the first 720 hrs, then it goes to $27.01+/hr, depending on experience and performance

Shift: train on 1st shift, then must be flexible to work any shift as needed for the first 720 hours, then it will likely be either 2nd or 3rd shift from that point on

Schedule: Monday-Friday with OT on weekends as needed; probably about 50 hrs a week
