Mission Rock Residential Housekeeper in Chattanooga, Tennessee

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of property models, vacant units, and common areas of the property. This position is also responsible for cleaning resident apartments upon request.

Location: Bluebird Row | Chattanooga, TN

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleans vacant apartments after move-outs to ensure units are in move-in condition.

  • Notifies maintenance team of any maintenance issues requiring attention.

  • Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

  • Responsible for daily cleaning, which includes, disinfecting, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows, picking up trash on the property and common areas (i.e., workout areas, laundry facilities, leasing office, elevators, club house, guest suites, pool facilities, furniture, and public restrooms).

  • Ensures work areas are neat and orderly after painting or when work orders have been completed.

  • Ensures supplies are in stock and orders them when directed to do so.

  • Assists office staff as needed with posting notices on resident doors.

  • Communicates with supervisor regarding the status of work and issues that arise.

  • Prepare complimentary services such as snacks and drinks.

  • Examines buildings and grounds to maintain safety and cleanliness, and alerts Maintenance to items that need to be repaired.

  • Follow safety and comply with all regulations for cleaning solutions and other chemicals.

  • Maintains compliance with company’s policies and procedures and all applicable federal and statelaws.

  • Ensures excellent customer service to prospect and tenants and promotes a quality living experience for all residents.

  • Participates in Company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.

  • Complies with all Mission Rock Residential standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.

  • Attendance is imperative and this position will be required to maintain onsite hours.

Other duties as assigned.

  • Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.

  • Must comply with all safety regulations, including the use of back brace, safety goggles and gloves when appropriate.

  • Overtime may be required for this position. May be required to work weekends and non-traditional holidays.

  • Must be reachable via phone or radio, except during approved time off

  • May be required to be available to work when needed due to staffing shortages.

  • Some travel may berequired.

  • Consistently meet deadlines.

  • Maintains the up most confidentiality.

    The Job: Our Porters/Groundskeepers are hard worker’s, enjoy working outdoors, and take pride in our communities. The position requires heavy lifting, extensive walking and climbing. Duties include:

  • Maintain the flower beds, plants and grass

  • Pick up trash

  • Clean pools (if there is one on site)

  • Remove snow (as applicable)

  • Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness.

  • Assist maintenance team with make-ready's and work orders

    The Details: Our Porters/Groundskeepers should have:

  • Ability to use a computer.

  • Comprehension of federal fair housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions.

  • Must be detail oriented and thorough.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-managementskills.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others and defuse situations involving angry or difficult

people.

  • Ability to multi-task, make quick and effective decisions, and analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to maintain flexibility and creativityin a variety of situations.

  • Ability to drive a motorized vehicle.

  • Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.

  • Ability to identify and distinguish color.

  • Ability to distinguish the differences or similarities in odors using nose.

  • Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 50 pounds or more.

  • Ability to use standard cleaning equipment.

  • Ability to work under minimal to moderate supervision.

  • Ability to learn basic computer applications.

    Schedule: Monday- Friday | 8 am - 5 pm
