Description

We are looking for an efficient Accounting Specialist to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position is on-site, full-time, contract-to-hire with standard business hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The selected candidate will begin working next week with a tentative start date of Thursday, 6/20 - interviews are happening now so do not delay - apply today!

Responsibilities:

• Handle vendor invoices that arrive at the shared services department

• Review and code AP invoices accurately for submission approval

• Collaborate closely with the AP teams to ensure invoices are processed after approval

• Utilize software to manage workflow processes including vendor invoicing, scanning, and templates

• Review invoices and obtain approvals as part of the Accounts Payable (AP) process

• Contribute to the automation of more processes to enhance efficiency

• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and activities

• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in vendor invoices

Requirements

• Proficiency in handling vendor invoices

• Ability to review and code invoices accurately

• Experience with invoice approvals and obtaining necessary approvals

• Demonstrated understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
